1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Trinity Alps Farms, Inc., DBA Hash and Flowers (“Hash & Flowers,” “we,” “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our online shop at shop.hashandflowers.com (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include your browser’s “local storage” and “session storage,” which let a website keep small pieces of information in your browser for the same kinds of purposes.
2. What We Use and What We Don’t
We use cookies and browser storage to operate the Site: to remember that you confirmed your age, to keep your shopping cart and login session working, to remember which of our locations serves you, and to protect our forms from abuse. We also count visits with our own analytics tool and note how an order’s visitor arrived at the Site, as described below; neither involves an analytics or advertising company.
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, or cookies that track you across other websites, and we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Cookies Set by the Site
- Age confirmation (
ageVerified): remembers that you confirmed you are 21 or older, so you are not asked on every page. Kept for 30 days. A copy is also kept in your browser’s local storage. - Shopping cart (
wp_woocommerce_session_*,woocommerce_items_in_cart,woocommerce_cart_hash): set by our shop software (WooCommerce) to keep the contents of your cart between pages. The session cookie is kept for up to 2 days; the others are deleted when you close your browser. - Login session (
wordpress_logged_in_*,wordpress_sec_*,wordpress_test_cookie): keep you signed in to your account and check that your browser accepts cookies. They are deleted when you close your browser, or kept for up to 14 days if you choose to stay signed in. - Store location (
haf_active_location): remembers which of our locations you are shopping. Kept for 30 days. - Delivery area (
haf_user_coords,haf_guest_address): remember the approximate coordinates of your location or the address you entered, so we can show the right location and check whether we deliver to you. Kept for 1 day, or for 30 days when the coordinates come from an address you entered. - Account sign-up and sign-in steps (for example
haf_pending_uid,haf_login_return,haf_register_return): short-lived cookies that carry you through e-mail verification and return you to the page you were on after signing in. Kept for between 5 minutes and 1 day. - Cart notices (for example
haf_oos_removed,haf_redirect_to_checkout_after_add): short-lived cookies that let us tell you when an item was removed from your cart because it went out of stock, or take you to checkout after adding an item. Kept for a few minutes. - Order source (
sbjs_current,sbjs_current_add,sbjs_first,sbjs_first_add,sbjs_session,sbjs_udata,sbjs_migrations): set by our shop software (WooCommerce) to note how you arrived at the Site (for example from a search engine, another website, or a link in one of our e-mails, including any campaign tags), your device type and browser string, and how many pages you viewed; if you place an order, this is saved with it.sbjs_sessionis kept for 30 minutes, the others for less than a minute. - Preview access: while the Site is in a password-protected preview, a cookie remembers that you entered the preview password. It is not used once the Site is open to the public.
4. Browser Storage
- Visit statistics (
hins_sid, session storage): to count visits and find problems with the Site, we use our own analytics tool, which runs on our own server. In your browser it keeps only a random identifier for the current tab, which is deleted when you close the tab; it is not a cookie, and what the tool collects is not shared with any analytics or advertising company. Section 2 of our Privacy Policy lists exactly what it records and explains that detailed records are deleted after 60 days. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, it does not record your visit at all. - Cart and checkout (session storage): a copy of your mini-cart and the checkout details you have already entered, so they are not lost if you reload the page. Deleted when you close the tab.
- Account messages (local storage): brief notes that let one open tab tell another that you verified your e-mail address or changed it. Removed after about 30 seconds.
5. Third-Party Services
- Google reCAPTCHA: our sign-in, account creation, contact and e-mail signup forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which helps us tell people apart from automated abuse. reCAPTCHA may set its own cookies and collects information about your device and use of the page, which Google handles under its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Google Maps Platform and Google Fonts: when you enter an address, we use Google Maps Platform to suggest matching addresses and find its location, and the Site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to do this, which gives Google your IP address. We do not use these services to track you.
6. How to Control Cookies
Most web browsers let you see, block and delete cookies and site storage through their settings; your browser’s help pages explain how. Because the cookies we use are needed for the Site to work, blocking them may stop parts of the shop (such as the age confirmation, your cart, or signing in) from working. Closing a browser tab clears its session storage. To find out more about cookies, visit www.aboutcookies.org.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Site or for legal or regulatory reasons. We will show the date of the latest version as the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.
